Annie's first day of Kindergarten!

Annie had no problem going to school. She loved it, and the first thing she went for was what? The books! What happened to my baby! Kindergarten!
I took it better than I thought I would. A few nights before I was in my bed thinking about how much I do NOT like change. Mike can attest to that, and he loves change by the way. And I remembered a talk by President Monson that I had copied and put in my end table (I love this talk and look at it ALL the time!)
"Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes.
This is our one and only chance at mortal life-here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for illusive and non-existent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey-now."
He also said..
"Of you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all to soon and that you will- to your surprise- miss them profoundly."

I am so glad that Annie loves school and hope she has a great year! Here come the changes!
*Oh, by the way, when I was filling out her paperwork I asked her what she wanted to be called Annie or Annabelle and she said Annabelle. She has been writing her name that way for awhile now, so maybe that's why.

Moonbounce

I didn't get a lot of pictures of Annie and Benjamin on the moonbounces. But I did get a lot of pictures of Erin. She has discovered slides, and LOVES them. She would go up the stairs and down the slide over and over again, pushing kids out of the way when she had to. She would even make a whoosh sound as she went down, too funny! Not a bad way to spend a rainy day.

Pool

I am soooooo sad summer is over and there are no more pool days! We had so much fun swimming this summer. All the kids love the pool and have gotten much better at "swimming". Annie even went off the diving board (well in a floaty).

Which one?

Laminate countertops for a quick fix in the kitchen. Mike and my mom like the black one. I should post a pic of my kitchen.....later.

Children's Museum...AGAIN!

This time we went with Grandma and Grandpa while Mike was in Utah and WY (backpacking with Scott). Obviously we do not get tired of this place...anyone want to go????

Philadelphia

We have lived maybe half an hour away from Independance Hall and the Liberty Bell for 2 years and this was our first time to visit. It was a beautiful day and the kids were very well behaved. We had to chase Erin around a little bit, but that's a given. We had a great time and definetly need to go back. We didn't make it into the Constituition Center, so that'll have to wait until next time. Anyone want to come visit?

Museums

Mike's parents came out to visit at the beginning of August. Mike took them to the Museum of Art and the Franklin Institute and took Benjmain along while me, Annie and Erin went to a birthday party. Doesn't Benjamin's energy level rival that of Rocky!
