The firm Mike will be working for hosts a housing weekend in the spring every year for new associates and their summer interns. We arrived in Philadelphia Friday right at rush hour, in the rain. We tried to drive around that night to locate a couple of rentals we were scheduled to look at on Saturday to see if we liked the neighborhoods and of course got lost for a little while. Saturday morning we went to a presentation and luncheon, then we were paired off with an associate who drove us around to a couple of appointments and "enlightened" us on the good areas and not so good areas. That night we went to a dinner and were able to meet a lot of the people who will also be starting with Mike this fall. I guess they will also be the one's stressing for the BAR with him this summer. Sunday morning we went to the Wilmington 1st Ward. They were so nice and friendly! Everyone wanted to give us advice on where to look (of course, in their ward, which we don't mind), and a counselor in the bishopric had us over for dinner after we spent the afternoon, yet again, looking all over for housing.

We left Monday morning, well after our plane was delayed and maybe even cancelled and we caught a different flight. I think Mike has unfortunately married into the bad luck that seems to follow me around. We were so busy we didn't get a chance to take pictures but these are a few that we took when we went up in October, and had less to do. Plus, I do not think anyone told them it is spring time! There was no green on the trees and it was so cold. But I guess for me, I am cold if I can not where my flip flops out comfortably.

This is the view of Wilmington we mostly saw this weekend.
We found a couple of rental options, but did not sign on anything. We are still trying to figure out if Mike wants to commute or be close to work. We might have to go back out there again, or there were a few people who said they could look at some stuff for us.
